Who has time for to exercise today? Well, we all have to make time for ourselves now. I know it sounds selfish, but if you plan on being around to see your kids grow up, and spoil your grand kids, you have got to make the time and you have got to do it today! There are never any guarantees that will make it to that point, but you will certainly increase your odds by losing that extra weight and getting that heart pumping good and strong. I really do not care how you go about it, but you have to get fit.


As for making the time to work out, well if you stop and think about it, you probably have the time now, you just are not using it right. How much time do you spend in front of the TV every night? And what do you get from that? A wider butt and a numb mind. How long have you been surfing the web right now? And that’s gotten you what? Have you lost weight or made extra money? Would you say that you have at least one hour a day that is wasted doing these things? I know that I used to. I would sit in front of the TV and “rest”. Hey, I had worked hard all day; I was tired and deserved a rest break. I did not even realize that I was so tired because my body had gotten used to being inactive. You see, my body was not really tired, my mind was lazy. I made excuse after excuse not to get up and move. As a result, I got fatter, which made me more tired, so I sat, which made me fatter, which made me more tired… Once you finally commit to get up, get active and get fit, you will find that you actually have a lot more energy. Now, how can you squeeze an adequate workout into a limited amount of time? First off, for me, I quit trying to get to the gym. I instantly saved 30 minutes a day right there by not having to drive back and forth. Then if you give up one sitcom, you suddenly have an hour a day to get something done. Now, if you decide to go with any of the Beach body workouts like P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire or Body Gospel, it’s like getting a personal trainer in a box. You have someone there to teach you how to eat, what exercises to do, how to do them and what order to do them in. You also do not have to worry about getting bored like you will (or perhaps did) with that one workout DVD from the retail store. But, if you decide to go some other way, that is fine with me. The important point here is that you quit making excuses and take the time to take care of yourself. It is not selfish to want to give your family, friends and loved ones more time by taking a little time for you.
